Pakistan and Karachi Kings head coach Mickey Arthur has been disappointed with the fact that there haven’t been any young batsmen who have stolen the spotlight and made a name for themselves in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Currently, familiar names like Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad are among the top scorers in the tournament.
With a number of promising bowlers having been produced this season, Arthur was at a loss to explain why no rising stars have been identified in the batting department.
“We don’t see any young Pakistan batsmen developing, and I am not sure the reason why,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “It’s the same old, tried and tested ones, that keep on performing which is a little bit of a worry for Pakistan going forwards.”
