Shahid Afridi: “I’m still going to play cricket, I’ll let you know when I’m retiring”

Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has made it clear that he has no intention of retiring from all forms of cricket in the near future.

Afridi is currently playing for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has taken 10 wickets in eight games at an average of 17.30, while maintaining an economy rate of 6.74.

The 39-year-old confirmed that he intends to keep playing domestic cricket and has vowed to feature in next year’s PSL.

“I haven’t left cricket, I am still playing. I don’t know who I’ll play for next year but I will surely play inshaAllah,” he said. “I’m still going to play cricket, I’ll let you know when I’m retiring.”
