Wasim Akram: “He just has to improve his bowling a bit and be consistent with the bat”

Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram feels that all-rounder Faheem Ashraf can establish himself as a match winner if he improves his bowling and becomes more consistent with the bat.

Akram’s comments come after he questioned why the selectors were barely picking Faheem.

In the recently concluded tour of South Africa, Faheem only featured in the third Test against the Proteas, in two of the five ODIs and in two of the three Twenty20 Internationals.

“The one Pakistan cricketer I want to see perform is Faheem Ashraf because he’s been the all-rounder Pakistan are looking for,” Faheem was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “He just has to improve his bowling a bit and be consistent with the bat. He can be a match winner.”
