Wasim Akram: “India look firm favourites for me. New Zealand are the dark horses, but Pakistan [are] right up there”
Pakistan bowling great Wasim Akram believes that Pakistan have a good chance of winning the World Cup later this year, but believes that India are the favourites to come out on top.
Akram noted that Pakistan have a good group of players and it would be a mistake for people to completely write them off.
However, in addition to Pakistan, Akram admitted that New Zealand could also spring a surprise in the tournament.
“Among the teams that are involved in the cricket World Cup, Pakistan has always been an outfit that people loved to watch and follow,” he was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder. “You can never write them off. India look firm favourites for me. New Zealand are the dark horses, but Pakistan [are] right up there.”

I think if wasim Akram is attached to pakistan squad for world cup 2019 as a manager or a head coach, then Pakistan will be world champions otherwise not.
I think he would be a perfect bowling coach or at least a bowling consultant for the World Cup.
