India captain Virat Kohli and batsman Ajinkya Rahane scored an unbeaten 82 and 51 respectively to keep their side in a solid position after Australia made 326.
Starting off the day on 277/6, Australia added 33 runs to their score before Pat Cummins was clean bowled by Umesh Yadav for 19.
Australia captain Tim Paine fell the very next over as he was trapped lbw off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah for 38.

Mitchell Starc only made six runs before he was caught behind off the bowling of Ishant Sharma.
Australia were bowled out for 326 the very next ball as Josh Hazlewood suffered the same fate as Starc.
Ishant was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Bumrah, Yadav and Hanuma Vihari chipped in with two wickets apiece.
Trailing by 326 runs, India made a horrible start to their innings as opener Murali Vijay was clean bowled by Starc for a duck.

Lokesh Rahul, who opened the batting with Vijay, mustered two runs before he was cleaned up by Hazlewood.

Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara stabilised the innings with a 74-run partnership before Pujara was caught behind off the bowling of Starc for 24.
Kohli and Rahane kept the runs flowing as they forged an unbeaten 90-run stand, during which both batsmen brought up their half-centuries, before stumps was called.

Kohli finished on 82, which came off 181 balls and included nine boundaries, while Rahane remained undefeated on 51, which came off 103 deliveries and included six boundaries and a six.
Starc was the most successful bowler with two wickets, while Hazlewood claimed one.
India ended day two on 172/3 and will continue batting on Sunday at 10:20 local time or 02:20 GMT.
