Mohsin Khan has made it abundantly clear that he is in no danger of losing his job as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Cricket Committee.
Mohsin made headlines recently as he was quoted saying that captain Sarfraz Ahmed should be stripped of the Test captaincy in order to lighten his workload.
However, Mohsin insisted that he made those comments over a year ago and has never since had an issue with Sarfraz captaining Pakistan in all three formats.
Recently, there has been speculation that Mohsin is in danger of being removed as chairman of the PCB’s Cricket Committee, but he refuted this, saying that it no truth behind all the rumours.
“The stories of me being removed as the Cricket Committee chairman and not being allowed to speak to the media are nonsensical and fabricated,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “I have spoken with (PCB chairman) Ehsan Mani about my role and he has assured me not to worry about my role and to ignore the false stories from sections of the media.
“The chairman is the one who will have the final say on any changes that are to be made and my committee and I are there in an advisory role. Our decisions will be based on merit and merit alone and I look forward to working without any bias as I feel it is our duty to serve Pakistan cricket well.”
