Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 161 and 111 not out respectively as Bangladesh punished Zimbabwe on the opening day of the second Test in Dhaka.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh got off to a disappointing start as opener Imrul Kayes was caught behind off the bowling of Kyle Jarvis for a duck.
Liton Das, who opened the batting with Kayes, only scored nine runs before he was caught by Brandon Mavuta at midwicket off the bowling of Jarvis.
Debutant Mohammad Mithun failed to trouble the scorers as he was caught by Brendan Taylor at second slip off the bowling of Donald Tiripano.
With Bangladesh struggling at 26/3, Mominul and Rahim came to the rescue with a 266-run partnership, during which both batsmen surpassed their centuries.
