Azhar Mahmood has to return back to Pakistan from the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates due to the death of his nephew.
The Pakistan bowling coach has played an instrumental role in helping the national team become one of the top bowling sides in the world.
While he has returned home, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that he will rejoin the squad in the United Arab Emirates in a day or two.
Pakistan began their Asia Cup campaign on a strong note as they crushed Hong Kong by eight wickets.
They will face a tougher challenge in their next match, as it will come against arch-rivals India in Dubai on September 19.
