Former Pakistan batsman Imran Nazir has revealed that he is extremely impressed with the way Sarfraz Ahmed has captained the national team.
Pakistan have enjoyed a lot of success under Sarfraz’s leadership as they won the Champions Trophy in England last year and are currently the top-ranked Twenty20 side.
In addition, they triumphed in their most recent assignment, which was a T20 tri-series against Zimbabwe and Australia.
“Sarfraz has led the team very well and the whole team is so synchronized,” Nazir told The Express Tribune. “Although they didn’t bowl well in the final and also were poor in fielding initially, they still managed to come out of that pressure and reach the target; that is a sign of a maturing team.”
Sarfraz and the rest of the Pakistan team will now take on Zimbabwe in a five-match ODI series, which begins on July 13 in Bulawayo.
