Pakistan all-rounder Bilawal Bhatti has revealed that he is determined to represent his country at the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.
Bhatti has not played international cricket since May 2015, and his hopes of making a comeback has been dashed by injuries.
In fact, Bhatti was ruled out of this year’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to a shoulder injury.
However, with the all-rounder being just 26 and having played two Tests, 10 ODIs and nine Twenty20 Internationals, he knows what he needs to do in order to regain his spot in the national team.
“My focus is on playing in the 2019 World Cup,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “I feel that currently being in England is the ideal place for me to work towards that goal as the weather is ideal and on top of that I have access to some excellent training facilities at Hem Heath Cricket Club.
“With participation in the World Cup as my aim, I hope to go back to Pakistan and take part in the domestic season and intend to put in such good performances which will make it easy for me to be selected for the national side in the near future.”
