England all-rounder Chris Woakes will miss the one-off ODI against Scotland on June 10 in Edinburgh due to tightness in his right quad.

Woakes sustained the the injury towards the end of Pakistan’s second innings in the second Test at Headingley, which England won by an innings and 55 runs to ensure the series ended as a 1-1 draw.

However, it remains unclear if Woakes’ injury will keep him out of the five-match ODI series against Australia, which gets underway three days after the Scotland ODI at The Oval.

With Woakes out of the fixture against Scotland, pace bowler Tom Curran has been called up as his replacement.

Curran, whose brother Sam made his Test debut at Headingley, is also part of England’s squad for the ODI series against Australia.

Woakes is the second England player to be sidelined for the Scotland ODI after all-rounder Ben Stokes, who will miss the match and the “first part” of the Australia ODI series with a torn left hamstring.
