South Africa all-rounder JP Duminy has lavished praise on India all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his stellar performances in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
Both Duminy and Pandya are playing for the Mumbai Indians, who have resurrected their chances of making the playoffs after getting off to a dismal start.
Pandya has played an instrumental part in the Indians’ recovery as he is the joint-higher wicket-taker in the tournament with 16 victims in 10 matches at an average of 15.68.
In addition to having a major impact with the ball, the 24-year-old has also scored some useful runs lower down the order.
“He’s been an exceptional talent,” Duminy was quoted as saying by Sportstarlive. “One of those who backs himself in pressure moments. He’s a pressure moment player who stands up and executes to the best of his ability.”
The Indians’ next game will be against the Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
