Mohammed Shami: “Celebrities often have a lot of fans and she (Alisba) is one of them”

India seamer Mohammed Shami has spilled the details on a Pakistani woman, known as Alisba, who allegedly handed him money in Dubai on behalf of a UK national named Mohammed Bhai.

The alleged incident was revealed by Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan, who has also accused him of abusing her and having extramartial affairs.

Jahan claimed that she had a recording of Shami speaking about the alleged incident. As a result, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) has asked the BCCI’s anti-corruption unit to look into it.

“Alisba is a Pakistani citizen and Shami claimed that she gave him money,” Jahan was quoted as saying by CricTracker. “I have never been told by Shami for what purpose that money was given. I don’t know but if he can fraud me, he can fraud the country too.”

When asked who Alisba is, Shami made it clear that she was nothing more than one of his fans.

“Celebrities often have a lot of fans and she (Alisba) is one of them, her name is being falsely dragged into the matter to cook up controversy,” he said.
