Australia left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 9.4 crores on the first day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction on Saturday.
Starc was formerly part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, but missed last year’s IPL in order to rest and recuperate after a hectic summer. As a result, the franchise decided to part ways with the 27-year-old.
But, Starc is now excited to start a new chapter in the IPL with the Knight Riders.
