Sri Lanka call up Chameera, Gamage for third Test against India

Sri Lanka have added fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera and Lahiru Gamage to their squad for the third Test against India in Pallekele.

Sri Lanka called up the pace duo after seamer Nuwan Pradeep and veteran spinner Rangana Herath were ruled out of the match.

Pradeep sustained a hamstring injury during the second Test in Colombo, while Herath has been rested after being diagnosed with a stiff back.

Chameera has not played Test cricket since December 2016, while Gamage has yet to make his Test debut as he has only represented Sri Lanka in five ODIs to date.

With India holding a 2-0 lead, Sri Lanka will be aiming for a consolation win in the third Test, which begins on Saturday.
