Sam Billings will not be returning to the Indian Premier League (IPL) and will instead stay in England.

The England batsman was supposed to head back to India to continue playing for the Delhi Daredevils after the recently concluded two-match ODI series against Ireland, but he opted against it.

Since the Daredevils have no chance of qualifying for the IPL playoffs, Billings has chosen to make himself available for Kent prior to England’s training camp in Spain.

While Billings will play no further part in the ongoing season of the IPL, it is a different story for ODI captain Eoin Morgan, who travelled back to the sub-continent nation to play at least two more games for the Kings XI Punjab.

Morgan is expected to return to England with team-mates Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes as all of them will be heading to Spain prior to the national team’s ODI series against South Africa and the Champions Trophy.
