The Delhi Daredevils have signed West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels as a replacement for South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock.

De Kock was ruled out of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after sustaining ligament damage in his right index finger.

De Kock sustained the injury while representing South Africa in their recent three-Test series against New Zealand.

Samuels was part of the IPL auction in February, but with a base price of INR 100 lakh, he went unsold.

In fact, the 36-year-old last played in the IPL in 2013 for the now defunct Pune Warriors.
