Zimbabwe will travel to Netherlands for three 50-over games ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka in July.

The three matches, which will be held on June 20, 22 and 24, are unlikely to be classified as ODIs since Netherlands lost their ODI status in January 2014.

Zimbabwe will go into the series after playing two ODIs in Scotland on June 15 and 17.

“We are pleased to confirm Zimbabwe will be touring the Netherlands as part of a potentially exciting and competitive five-game programme that will also see us visiting Scotland for two of the matches,” Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said. “While the tour will give our boys the much-needed game time and a feel of unfamiliar conditions, it will also go a long way in preparing our team for the tougher series away to Sri Lanka.”

The series will be the first assignment of Netherlands head coach Ryan Campbell, who started his tenure at the beginning of the month.
