Sunrisers Hyderabad pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman was a handful with the ball and captain David Warner hammered an entertaining 59 to not only lead their side to a five-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab, but also hand them their fourth loss in five games.
Warner would have been content with his decision to bowl first as his side kept pegging Punjab back with regular wickets. Just as Shaun Marsh looked as if he were going to be a major threat, Rahman removed him for 40. Wicketkeeper Nikhil Naik also looked to be a threat, but Rahman dealt with him as well.
In the end, it was Axar Patel who came to the rescue for Punjab as he smashed a quickfire 36 not out to help his side finish on 143/6 off their 20 overs.
Rahman and Moises Henriques picked up two wickets apiece, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took one.
Chasing 144 to win, Warner and Shikhar Dhawan got the Sunrisers off to a spectacular start as they amassed a 90-run partnership before Warner was dismissed by Sandeep Sharma for 59, which came off 31 deliveries and included seven boundaries and three sixes.

Despite a flurry of quick wickets, which included that of Dhawan, who ended up making 45, the Sunrisers still managed to reach their target with 13 balls to spare.
Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Rishi Dhawan claimed one wicket each.
Rahman was named Man of the Match.
