West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has been banned from bowling in international cricket after his bowling action was deemed illegal by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Narine was reported for a suspect action after the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Pallekele earlier this month and he subsequently had his action tested at Loughborough University, where it was found that all his deliveries exceeded the 15-degree limit.

Narine will be allowed to have his action re-tested once he modifies it, but during that time, he will only be permitted to bowl in West Indian domestic matches.
