Zimbabwe all-rounder Neville Madziva struck a match-winning six off the penultimate ball of the second Twenty20 International against Bangladesh to lead his side to a three-wicket win in Mirpur.

Madziva was well supported by Malcolm Waller, who smashed 40, as Zimbabwe ended their tour of Bangladesh on a high as they won their first match.

After opting to bat first, Bangladesh stumbled from the get-go and would have been dismissed for an embarrassing score had it not been for Anamul Haque, who scored 47 off 51 balls, which included three boundaries.

Thanks to Haque, Bangladesh were able to finish on 135/9 off their 20 overs.

Tinashe Panyangara picked up three wickets, while Madziva and Graeme Cremer snapped up two wickets apiece and Tendai Chisoro chipped in with one.

Chasing 136 to win, Zimbabwe found themselves in all sorts of trouble early on as they were reduced to 39/5 in the ninth over.

However, Luke Jongwe started to bring Zimbabwe back into contention with his crucial innings of 34 before Waller blasted 40 off 27 balls, which included two boundaries and three sixes.

Waller was dismissed on the first ball of the final over, in which Zimbabwe needed 18 runs to win. Despite the setback, Madziva proceeded to score 12 runs off the next three balls before walloping a huge six off the penultimate ball of the match to lead Zimbabwe to victory.

Madviza ended up making an unbeaten 28, which came off 19 balls and included three boundaries and two sixes.

Al-Amin Hossain was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman, Arafat Sunny and Nasir Hossain claimed one wicket each.

Madviza was named Man of the Match, while Waller received the Man of the Series award.
