Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel captain Dwayne Bravo took four wickets and batsman William Perkins smashed an unbeaten 64 to lead their side to a comfortable six-wicket win over the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

Patriots skipper Marlon Samuels would have been regretting his decision to bat first as Devon Thomas was the only batsmen to make a valuable contribution with the bat.

Thanks to Thomas’ quickfire knock of 44, which came off 23 balls and included one boundary and four sixes, the Patriots managed to make 146 before being bowled out.

Bravo was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets, while Samuel Badree and Johan Botha snapped up two wickets apiece and Javon Searles chipped in with one wicket.

Chasing 147 to win, the Red Steel lost Jacques Kallis early on before Perkins and Cameron Delport stabilised the innings with a 70-run stand.

The partnership was eventually brought to an end when Delport was caught behind off the bowling of Shahid Afridi for 38.

Despite Darren Bravo and Dwayne Bravo falling soon after, Perkins kept his cool and led his side to victory with seven balls to spare.

Perkins ended up finishing on 64 off 43 balls, which included three boundaries and five sixes.
