Sri Lanka batsman Jehan Mubarak is likely to make his Test comeback after almost eight years as he was included in the national team for the upcoming three-Test series against Pakistan.
Mubarak, whose last Test came in 2007, regained his place in the national team after scoring over 1,000 runs in the last two domestic seasons.
His fielding has also caught the attention of many people, including the legendary Jonty Rhodes.
Meanwhile off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal and the uncapped duo of Dushmantha Chameera and Kusal Perera have also been included in the 16-man squad.
Pace bowler Shaminda Eranga was left out of the squad as he is still recovering from a back injury, while Suranga Lakmal’s inclusion will depend on how fast his groin injury heals.
