New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori has become the 12th player and first Blackcap to join the illustrious 300 ODI wickets club.
Vettori achieved the feat during New Zealand’s six-wicket win over Afghanistan on Sunday in Napier.
Afghanistan batsman Nawroz Mangal became Vettori’s 300th victim when he was clean bowled by the left-arm spinner for 27.
Vettori ended up claiming four wickets during the match and has now taken 302 wickets at an average of 31.46.
