“Well done Bangladesh! England pathetic!”

After England were dumped out of the World Cup when they lost to Bangladesh by 15 runs on Monday, former players have taken to Twitter to express their disgust towards the national team’s performance.
Legendary England all-rounder Sir Ian Botham announced that some big changes needed to be made.
Botham, via his Twitter account, said: “Well done Bangladesh! England pathetic! When are we going to pick the selectors to pick a team for the one-day format? Time for change!!”
Former batsman Kevin Pietersen also congratulated Bangladesh for winning the match.
“I cannot believe this! I just cannot! But well done Bangladesh! You deserved it! Do not say we haven’t prioritised ODI cricket! We played a back to back Ashes to make sure England played six months of ODIs before this WC!”
Ex-England captain Michael Vaughan slammed the national team and head coach Peter Moores for relying on data and statistics throughout the tournament.
“Peter Moores said ‘We thought 275 was chaseable’,” Vaughan said via Twitter. “‘We’ll have to look at the data.’ Genuine quote!
“Surely you don’t need to look at any data to tell you that 275 is chaseable against Bangladesh?”
Meanwhile, former Australia leg-spinner Shane Warne admitted that he was not at all surprised about England’s elimination.
“England had the wrong team, the wrong style of play and everyone could see it,” he said on Twitter. “Result not a shock. I feel for (Eoin) Morgan. Coach in trouble!
“Congrats to everyone involved in Bangladesh cricket. Just amazing scenes in Adelaide & what the World Cup is all about – pride and passion.”
