South Africa Under-19 World Cup winner Kagiso Rabada has received his first-ever central contract from Cricket South Africa.

Pace bowler Kyle Abbott and spinner Aaron Phangiso were also rewarded with their first central contracts as well.

However, it was announced that opening batsman Alviro Petersen, who retired from international cricket in January this year, all-rounder Robin Peterson and pace bowler Rory Kleinveldt lost their contracts.

Cricket South Africa have retained left-arm seamer Lonwabo Tsotsobe, even though he has not played any international cricket in almost a year.¬†All-rounder Ryan McLaren was retained as well despite failing to make the cut for South Africa’s World Cup squad.
