Australia captain Michael Clarke’s international comeback may have to be postponed since a tropical cyclone is expected to hit Australia over the weekend.
According to Australia’s meteorology office, the Baggy Greens’ World Cup match against Bangladesh in Brisbane on Saturday is likely to be cancelled since 30cm of rain is expected to descend upon the city on that particular day.
“Beautiful sunshine at the moment, but I think that’s it for the day – we got a couple of days of wet weather,” Australia head coach Darren Lehmann said. “We’ll work out what the best XI is once it clears up. It might be different with overcast conditions and we might decide to play a different way, and it depends on the wicket.”
