England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler will continue on as the national team’s vice-captain during the World Cup.

Buttler was personally chosen by ODI captain Eoin Morgan ahead of Twenty20 skipper Stuart Broad, pace bowler James Anderson and batsman Joe Root.

The 24-year-old, who has represented England in three Tests, 49 ODIs and 37 Twenty20 Internationals, assumed the role of vice-captain during the recent ODI tri-series against Australia and India.

England’s first World Cup match will be against hosts Australia in Melbourne on February 14.
