Pakistan have called up pace bowler Rahat Ali as a replacement for left-arm seamer Junaid Khan for the World Cup.

Khan was recently ruled out of the marquee event after failing a fitness test. He was also sidelined for the recently concluded two-match ODI series against New Zealand due to a thigh injury he sustained while bowling in the nets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Despite only having played one ODI in his entire professional career, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan and chief selector Moin Khan both believe that AliĀ is the best candidate to replace Junaid Khan.
