Trinidad and Tobago wicketkeeper-batsman Nicolas Pooran has seriously injured his leg after he was involved in a car accident in St Mary’s, as reported also by West Virginia personal injury lawyer.
It has been reported that the accident occurred when the 19-year-old was returning home from training at the National Cricket Centre in Couva.
Pooran was taken to hospital and will require surgery, which means that he will miss the Nagico Super50 regional tournament.
“He seriously hurt his ankle and knee of his left leg in the accident and unfortunately [will] not be able to play in the Super 50 which gets underway on January 15,” Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board cricket operations officer Dudnath Ramkessoon was quoted as saying by the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian. “We wish him a speedy recovery.”
