Melbourne Stars batsman David Hussey has been ruled out for the remainder of the Big Bash League (BBL) after suffering a broken hand.

Hussey sustained the injury after he was hit on the hand by Melbourne Renegades all-rounder Andre Russell.

“Not so good – four to six weeks for Huss, I think he’s going to miss the series unfortunately,” Hussey’s teammate Kevin Pietersen told Radio 3AW. “I think it’s [his] hand, he’s got his hand strapped, his fingers seem OK.”

It has been confirmed that Hussey will be replaced by Alex Keath.
