The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced that retired military officer Naveed Cheema will replace Moin Khan as the manager of the national team.

Cheema, 60, was Pakistan’s team manager from 2011 to 2013 and is currently serving as chief secretary of Punjab province.

The PCB decided to relieve Khan of this post since he is also the country’s chief selector.

Cheema’s tenure as team manager will start when Pakistan take on New Zealand in an ODI on January 31.
