South Africa batsman Rilee Rossouw has been called up as a replacement for Quinton de Kock for the remainder of the Test series against the West Indies.
De Kock was ruled out for the rest of the series after he tore a ligament in his ankle while warming up on the third day of the first Test in Centurion.
However, since Rossouw is still nursing a finger injury, it is highly likely that uncapped batsman Temba Bavuma will make his Test debut on Boxing Day in Port Elizabeth.
Since de Kock will be out of action for a while, AB de Villiers is set to take his place behind the stumps for the last two Tests, even though he has a chronic back problem.
However, once the limited overs portion of the series draws nearer, it is likely that South Africa will call up someone else to don the wicketkeeping gloves.
