Pakistan batsman Younis Khan and captain Misbah-ul-Haq both made centuries to help their side achieve a mammoth first innings total of 566 against New Zealand on the second day of the first Test in Abu Dhabi.

Starting out the day on 269/1, Ahmed Shehzad and Azhar Ali converted their 91-run partnership into a 169-run partnership, during which Shehzad surpassed the 150-run mark and Ali brought up his half-century, before Shehzad was out hit wicket off the bowling of Corey Anderson.

Shehzad was dismissed when he hooked a ball onto his helmet and fell to the ground, upon where his bat hit the stumps. However, even though he received treatment from the physiotherapist, the 22-year-old still looked to be in a lot of pain as he walked back to the pavilion.

Shehzad’s career-best knock of 176 came off 371 balls and included 17 boundaries and a six.
