Porterfield has returned home due to personal reasons

Ireland captain William Porterfield has pulled out of his side’s tour of Australia and New Zealand due to personal reasons.

With Porterfield having returned back to the United Kingdom, it has been announced that no replacement will be called up for him since their tour of New Zealand ends on October 23.

Ireland have been playing numerous games in New Zealand since four of their six group matches in the 2015 World Cup will be held in the country.
