The Kings XI Punjab have signed a sponsorship deal with AirAsia, who are a budget airline carrier based in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
“Showing our commitment to Chandigarh, we are going to be sponsoring Kings XI Punjab,” AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya said.
Industrialist Mohit Burman owns 46 per cent of the franchise’s shares, while actress Preity Zinta and industrialist Ness Wadia own 23 per cent apiece. Karan Paul, who is the chairman of Apeejay-Surrendra Group and Root Investment, who are a Delhi-based company own four per cent each.
