Afghanistan batsman Asghar Stanikzai has been recalled into the ODI squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe.

Stanikzai’s last ODI for Afghanistan came in March 2013.

Fellow batsman Gulbadin Naib has also been included in the 16-man squad, which will be captained by Mohammad Nabi.

Wicketkeeper Shafiqullah also retained his place in the side, which means that Mohammad Shahzad misses out.

In terms of the four-day matches, Mohammad Mujtaba and Najeeb Tarakai have been drafted into the side, along with several uncapped players such as Qasim Khan, Fazal Niazai, Yamin Ahmedzai, Abdullah Adil and Fareed Ahmed.
