Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal is looking for an explanation after former England captain Michael Vaughan and pace bowler Stuart Broad recently questioned the legality of his bowling action.

The whole incident started after Ajmal took 13 wickets for Worcestershire in their recent 72-run victory over Essex, including a career-best 7 for 19 in the second innings.

Vaughan posted a picture of Ajmal bowling during the match on Twitter, and said: “You are allowed 15 degrees of flex in your delivery swing….#justsaying.”

Broad responded with: “This has to be a fake photo?!” before going on to say “bowlers can bowl very differently in a lab while being tested compared to needing wickets in the middle.”

Following Vaughan and Broad’s controversial opinions, Ajmal told his agent to speak to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in order to get an explanation on why those comments were made.
