“Criticising is the easiest thing to do”

Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has come to the defence of India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh following his disastrous performance during the final of the World Twenty20.

Singh only scored 11 runs off 21 balls as Sri Lanka went on to win the match by six wickets.

Singh has been repeatedly blamed for India’s loss and there were even reports that stones had been thrown at his house in Chandigarh.

“You can’t always be good,” Pietersen said. “It’s very easy to say things when you stop playing. I see a lot of players talking who don’t even play international cricket and wished they were playing because criticising is the easiest thing to do.”
