“We trust the players to make good decisions and the pair have breached this trust”
New Zealand opening batsman Jesse Ryder and pace bowler Doug Bracewell are currently under investigation for visiting a bar on the eve of the first Test against India, which got underway on February 6.
New Zealand manager Mike Sandle confirmed that the pair had been at a bar until the early hours of the morning and added that he was extremely disappointed, given that the duo are repeat offenders.
“Their behaviour is totally unacceptable the night before a match,” Sandle said. “We trust the players to make good decisions and the pair have breached this trust.”
Ryder and Bracewell did the same thing during New Zealand’s home series against South Africa in March 2012 and were subsequently dropped from the ODI team.
