Prasanna Jayawardene set to make Test comeback

Jayawardene has not played any Test cricket in the past 12 months

Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Prasanna Jayawardene is set to make his Test comeback against Pakistan later this year after being dropped following the national team’s tour of Australia in December 2012.

Kaushal Silva, who last represented Sri Lanka in a Test match in 2011, has also made his return to the Test squad.

Left-arm pace bowler Vishwa Fernando and off-spinners Sachithra Senanayake and Dilruwan Perera are the three uncapped players that have been included in the 16-man squad.

Veteran spinner Rangana Herath and batsman Mahela Jayawardene will also make their comebacks after ruling themselves out of the Twenty20 and ODI series against Pakistan due to personal reasons.
