“If he goes down that path, it’s going to be a long, long summer for him”
Australia opening batsman David Warner has announced that if England pace bowler Stuart Broad is unable to handle some banter by the public, he will be in for a “long, long summer”.
Broad earlier acknowledged that he would be the subject of a lot of banter from the Australian fans after he refused to walk during the first Ashes Test at Trent Bridge, despite having clearly edged the ball to the slips.
Broad also recently denied having asked for two fans to be removed during England’s four-day warm-up match against the Cricket Australia Invitational XI in Sydney.
“I’ve heard he’s having (some bother) already,” Warner said. “None of us did that in England – we’d have copped it sweet.
