Sandra Jayasuriya has allegedly been paid 20 million rupees

Former Sri Lanka captain Sanath Jayasuriya’s wife has filed for divorce due to malicious desertion, according to Anoma Gunathilake, who is Sandra Jayasuriya’s attorney.

Gunathilake added that Jayasuriya will be notified about the divorce and a hearing will be scheduled in the near future.

According to sources, Sandra Jayasuriya has already been paid 20 million Sri Lankan rupees in order to look after her three children.

Jayasuriya is currently Sri Lanka Cricket’s (SLC) chairman of the selection panel and a deputy minister in President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s government.

The flamboyant opening batsman was elected to parliament in April 2010.
