Tremlett is hoping to play for England when South Africa come into town
England pace bowler Chris Tremlett is looking to regain his spot on the national team after recovering from a long period of injury.
Tremlett, represented England in just one Test match last year, before being diagnosed with a back injury, which saw him return home early from the series against Pakistan in Dubai in January to have it surgically repaired.
However, now that Tremlett has sufficiently recovered, he aims to regain a place on the England roster by putting up good performances for his county side Surrey.
Tremlett, is planning to make his return when England play host to South Africa in July.
The Daily Mirror, quoted Tremlett as saying: “It is a little bit make or break and if the injury does come back then it could -become a little bit more -serious, if you’re out of the game for a long time then -people do seem to -forget about you. It’s -important that I get the -timing of this right and make sure that I get this -injury right and get back to bowling the way I can do as quick as I can, it’s a tricky situation to be in but in terms of -getting back into the team I’ve got to control what I can -control and not think about it too much. But if I’m not back in the England side any time soon then who knows what’s -going to happen.”
