A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Sehwag confirms Taylor will be available from fourth match onwards

Sehwag has assured that all players will be available at some point throughout the tournament

Delhi Daredevils Captain, Virender Sehwag, has announced that New Zealand Captain, Ross Taylor, will be available to play for the team in the IPL, from the fourth match onwards.

Taylor, who suffered a forearm fracture, after getting hit by a short pitched delivery from South African pace bowler Morne Morkel, had surgery to repair the clean break, and will be back in action by the mid of April.

Taylor, is expected to be included in the lineup for the fourth match the Delhi Daredevils play in the IPL, which will be against the Deccan Chargers on the 19th of April.

“Ross won’t be available for the first three matches but he will be available from the fourth match onwards” Sehwag said.

Australia’s David Warner, who is currently on tour in the Caribbean, will only be available after the first ten games, while England batsman, Kevin Pietersen, who is on tour in Sri Lanka, will be available from the middle period of the tournament onwards.

“As for David Warner, we won’t get his services for the first 10 games and Kevin Pietersen will be available in the middle” Sehwag also said.

Sehwag, is very pleased with his pace bowling attack, which will be lead by Morne Morkel, Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron.

However, there have been concerns about Delhi’s spin attack, but, Sehwag was quick to play down those worries.

“We have Van der Merwe (Roloef) and Nadeem (Shahbaz) who are good bowlers. We also have Pawan Negi. I am fit to bowl but I don’t think the team would require my magic arm” he said.

Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla pitch, has also received criticism for not being a very good Twenty20 International wicket, but, Sehwag, hopes that the groundsmen work hard to produce an excellent surface.

“The emphasis (is) on preparing a good wicket with even bounce which will give us suitable advantage” he added.

With the IPL starting next week, Sehwag, is confident of the team that has been put together, and said: “Ours is a side which has a blend of youth and experience. The IPL has always proved to be a good platform for younger players to make a mark. The likes of Umesh, Yusuf, Ravindra Jadeja got rewarded for their performance in IPL. Hopefully, we will unearth a new talent who would do well for us.”
