A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Broad unlikely to play in second Test

Broad may not be fit enough to play in the second Test match

England pace bowler, Stuart Broad, has been listed as doubtful for the second Test match against Sri Lanka, after injuring his right calf muscle.

Broad, started to become bothered by the injury, when he came out to bat in England’s second innings on day four.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), has published a statement, confirming that he has sustained the injury.

Even before the first Test started, there were questions over whether Broad would be fit to play, after he tripped over the boundary rope and suffered a sprained ankle.

England selectors are now debating whether to risk playing him in the second Test, since it may aggravate his injury even more.

However, if Broad were to be ruled out, Tim Bresnan and Steven Finn would be the two main choices to replace him on the roster.

With five days to go till the next Test match begins in Colombo, all eyes will be on whether Broad will be fit enough to play, or if he will be replaced and have to watch from the sidelines.
