Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has advised opening batsman Saim Ayub to “bring back the same mindset he had” before fracturing his ankle in January 2025.
Shoaib Malik: “The way Salman led… was far better than some of the previous captaincies we’ve seen. On the field he showed real street-smartness and made good calls. Salman doesn’t look like he is bound to one fixed plan”

Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has commended T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha for his leadership, describing it as “far better than some of the previous captaincies we’ve seen.”
Shoaib Malik: “Are these players playing attacking cricket? Why did you remove Babar and Rizwan then? At least they were scoring lots of runs. Why did you ask them to improve their strike-rate if these players are playing with the same strike-rate?”
