Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has claimed that red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie basically told the batsmen to shut up after they wanted all the grass to be cut off the pitch during their Test series against England.
Jason Gillespie: “I love watching him bowl. The old fast bowler in me, I just love watching good fast bowling and great fast bowling, and I certainly put Shaheen in that category. I love watching him bowling, he runs in and bowls [with] really good pace”
