Pakistan limited overs head coach Mike Hesson explained that power-hitter Mohammad Haris was dropped from the T20I team as he couldn’t make the most of the opportunities that were given to him.
Shahid Afridi: “It frustrates me. I’ve personally called him 2-3 times and told him that only performances will take him forward, but I haven’t seen any noteworthy performances from him”

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi admitted it is frustrating that a batsman as talented as Mohammad Haris hasn’t produced “any noteworthy performances”.
Sarfaraz Ahmed: “This is a new team taking shape, with new players performing. Youngsters such as Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, and Sufiyan Muqeem have been given opportunities”

Hussain Talat: “Pakistan players in the middle order, who can play all forms of cricket, there are very few left. Maybe 4-5 players left, and if you ask them, they also don’t want to play (in that position)”

Hussain Talat has observed a worrying trend within Pakistan cricket, noting that players are reluctant to bat in the middle order because they risk being dropped if they don’t score runs immediately.
