Legendary 161.3 kph Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has lauded India speedster Jasprit Bumrah, saying his game awareness is just as good as Wasim Akram’s.
Bumrah is widely regarded as the best bowler in world cricket at present and for Akhtar, there is no one who comes close to matching the 32-year-old’s yorkers.
“Jasprit Bumrah’s game awareness is exactly like Wasim Akram’s. He’s a thinking fast bowler and has the best yorker in world cricket,” the Rawalpindi Express was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X.
The Pakistan team recently took on the West Indies in a two-Test series in Trinidad and Tobago, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
Next up for them will be a three-match Test series against England from August 19 to September 13.
